Some will be in jeans and tennis shoe whiles others will be in a suit and tie. Regardless of what your wardrobe will allow you wear we promise you will receive a very warm and friendly welcome.

HOW WE WORSHIP

As a Spirit-filled, Bible-based church, we seek to worship God in spirit and truth according to worship practices found in the Bible.

We raise our hands because 1 Timothy 2:8 says "I will therefore that men pray everywhere, lifting up holy hands."

We clap our hands because Psalm 47:1 says, "O clap your hands, all ye people."

We sing and play music because Ephesians 5:19 says to worship "in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord," and Psalm 150 says to praise God with musical instruments

We worship with a joyful noise because Psalm 66:1 says, "Make a joyful noise unto God, all ye lands."

We pray aloud because the early church "lifted up their voice to God with one accord" in prayer (Acts 4:24).

We dance in the Spirit because Psalm 149:3 says, "Let them praise his name in the dance."

We include testimonials, teaching, preaching, and spiritual gifts because 1 Corinthians 14:26 says, "Whenever you come together, each of you has a psalm, has a teaching, has a tongue, has a revelation, has an interpretation" (NKJV).

What About My Kids?

  • Offered to children ages 3-12 who attend our Sunday morning celebration services. Your child will learn in a hands-on environment through craft, illustrative lessons, and their own church service using children’s songs and media to engage them at their level during Power Hour.

    We are confident they will enjoy HOH Kidz. You will find a child check-in station at the gymnasium doors.

  • If you are a young person looking for weekly opportunities to connect with other youth in the greater Hamden and New Haven area, then this ministry is for you. Our youth are involved in state-wide functions including camps, conferences, retreats, and more.

  • A young adult ministry that seeks to connect 18-30-year-olds To Service…With Purpose… Through Resources…For a Mission. This group is one of the largest within Haven of Hope! In college, just starting a career? Join others along life’s journey and enjoy the adventure alongside others just like you.
